The truth is, I’ve been in a bit of a morning routine slump lately. The things that once got me excited to get out of bed (think: a hot yoga class, a coffee run, or a walk to the beach) haven’t motivated me the way they used to lately.

As someone who has begrudgingly become a morning person in order to be more productive during the day, having something to look forward to is an essential part of my mornings—so I knew I had to come up with a plan quickly before I fell back into old habits, like sleeping in too late or relying too heavily on caffeine to shake me out of my slumber.

It was a burst of nostalgia and homesickness that sparked my latest grand scheme to upgrade my morning routine: Growing up, my mom would always make me and my brothers smoothies for breakfast, and the idea of enjoying a refreshing fruit smoothie every morning was just the jumpstart I needed.

My house always had a NutriBullet, so I know how reliable and durable those blenders are, which led me to the NutriBullet 600-Watt blender set—aka a pretty blender I’m almost sure was pulled from one of my TikTok-influenced, aesthetic-home dreams. After some indecision on which color would look best on my counter (it comes in lilac, red, sky blue, and turquoise), I grabbed the sky blue option, and ever since it arrived, it’s put the rest of my kitchen appliances to shame with how aesthetically pleasing it looks.

NutriBullet 600-Watt Blender 14-piece Set — $50.00

Originally $80, now $50

Set includes:

  • 600W motor base
  • Extractor blade
  • 2x 24-ounce cups
  • 1x 18-ounce Cup
  • 2x to-go lids
  • 2x resealable lids
  • 4x stainless steel straws
  • Cleaning brush for straws

Colors: lilac, red, sky blue, turquoise

  • Easy to use
  • Blends smoothly
  • Fast clean-up
  • Powerful
  • Looks pretty on counter
  • Can’t make drinks larger than 24-ounces
  • Comes with only three cups

Personally, I like the convenience of being able to drink out of the same cup I blend all my smoothie ingredients together in (read: less dishes for me to do), and I was pleasantly surprised with the $50 price tag for everything that comes in the set.

This pretty blender is more than just a nice accessory for morning routine TikTok videos though—it’s powerful, easy-to-use, and blends everything up super smoothly. Since it’s arrival, every morning after I get home from yoga, I throw some frozen fruit, spinach, oat milk, and protein powder into whichever cup is clean, lock the cup and blade into place on the motor base, and boom: I’ve got a delicious smoothie ready to go mere seconds later.

As someone who didn’t religiously eat breakfast before this purchase, this pretty blender is helping me to reach my daily servings of fruit, veggies, and protein right off the bat in the mornings, *and* I swear the cold shock of drinking something frozen that early helps perk me up as if it were caffeinated (think of it like a morning cold plunge for someone refuses to take cold showers… sort of).

All in all, this NutriBullet and the smoothies it makes have become a permanent mainstay in my morning routine, and I’m thankful for whatever flash of genius came over me when I decided to give it a try—it turned out to be just the inspiration I needed to get me out of bed at a reasonable time each morning, despite my recent slump.
